Britt Music & Arts Festival and Britt Orchestra Music Director Teddy Abrams announced the 2020 Britt Orchestra Season this week, which will run from July 28th through August 16th at the Britt Pavillion in Jacksonville, Oregon.The 2020 program celebrates the 250th birthday of Ludwig van Beethoven in the way Britt projects he himself would celebrate: with cutting-edge compositions from living composers who personify his spirit and ethos. At the heart of the season is a performance of Beethoven's colossal Symphony No. 9.
Music spanning 270 years can be found throughout the season, which sees the return of Teddy's Discovery Tuesdays - a variety of Tuesday evening performances including a family concert with actor Bruce Campbell narrating Nathaniel Stookey's The Composer is Dead, with text by Lemony Snicket.
